AlphaESS Unveils Next-Generation Energy Storage at Solar & Storage Live UK 2025

From 23–25 September 2025, AlphaESS proudly joined Solar & Storage Live UK 2025 in Birmingham, one of the UK’s most influential clean energy events. At Stand D58, we showcased a full portfolio of residential, commercial, and utility-scale storage systems designed to accelerate energy independence and support grid stability. 

This year marked a milestone for AlphaESS with the European launch of new C&I systems, alongside new G3 residential upgrades with our new heated battery solutions and 8kW single phase inverter. We also showcased our partnership with Octopus Energy following the successful integration with the Intelligent Flux tarrif and the Octopus Zero Bills Home scheme.

C&I Energy Storage Spotlight: New Product Launches

Two advanced commercial systems drew the spotlight:

  • StaX-M30/50

    With 30/50 kW and 60–217 kWh, StaX-M30/50 offers modular, stackable design for large residential and light commercial projects.

    • Transportable by van, no crane needed
    • Plug-and-play installation, no civil work or wiring
    • Smart Bypass to isolate faulty modules without downtime
    • Dynamic balancing for higher usable capacity and longer lifespan
StaX brings unmatched flexibility and scalability, making larger storage systems more accessible and reliable.


  • STORION-G3-H30/50

    Tailored for business-critical applications, this pre-assembled system delivers 30–50 kW with up to 241 kWh per cabinet.

    • Built on 314Ah LFP cells for high density
    • Compact footprint of <1.5 m² per cabinet
    • Supports 2h and 4h applications
    • All-in-one design for rapid deployment and safety
Together, these systems provide a robust answer to UK grid congestion, enabling businesses to secure greater energy independence and resilience.


Residential Highlights: SMILE-G3 & Octopus Intelligent Flux / Zero Bills

AlphaESS also showcased the upgraded SMILE-G3 Series, now featuring IP65-rated batteries that support outdoor installation and integrated preheating technology for reliable year-round operation. The new 4.5s and 9.3s battery options extend system flexibility, supporting applications such as dynamic tariff response and virtual power plants (VPPs). 

The centerpiece, however, was our collaboration with Octopus Energy. As well as now offering the Intelligent Flux tarrif to our customers AlphaESS UK is now an Official Product Partner in the Zero Bills Homes initiative, which guarantees residents no energy bills for at least five years. This recognition highlights the performance, safety, and reliability of AlphaESS technology within one of the UK’s most ambitious clean energy programmes. 

By integrating AlphaESS storage, solar PV, heat pumps, and Kraken’s AI energy platform, Zero Bills Homes showcase how smart energy ecosystems can deliver true energy independence at scale.


Utility-Scale BESS Innovation: Aster 5000

For utility applications, AlphaESS unveiled the Aster 5000, a 5 MWh liquid-cooled BESS in a compact 20-ft container.
  • 35% more capacity than previous generation
  • Active balancing for 10% longer life and 23× higher efficiency
  • 5-year maintenance-free with auto-refilling liquid cooling
  • 40% smaller land footprint with back-to-back layout
  • Comprehensive safety including aerosol suppression and NFPA68 compliance
Aster 5000 BESS delivers a scalable, cost-efficient, and secure solution for grid stabilization and renewable integration.
