London, UK, Feb 26th 2026 — The UK Large-Scale Energy Storage Summit has successfully concluded, with AlphaESS participating as a Gold Sponsor, reinforcing its commitment to supporting the UK’s accelerating transition toward a more resilient and flexible power system.
As part of the summit programme, Mark Hale, delivered a featured presentation titled
"When Power Gets Loud: Unmasking the Noise Behind Energy Storage Projects."
The session explored a critical but often overlooked aspect of BESS deployment: noise control in residential and environmentally sensitive areas. Mark demonstrated how our solutions effectively address this challenge through several successfully delivered projects across Europe.
Showcasing Utility Innovation
At the summit, AlphaESS showcased two flagship solutions: Aster 5000 and STORION-LC 836, covering both large commercial & industrial and utility-scale applications.
Aster 5000, AlphaESS’s next-generation utility platform, delivers 5.0159MWh in a standard 20-foot container. Powered by advanced 314Ah LFP cells and industry-leading bi-directional active balancing technology (up to 23× higher efficiency), the system enhances cell consistency, extends battery lifetime, and reduces long-term O&M costs. With integrated liquid cooling, intelligent auto-refill, and multi-layer safety protection, Aster 5000 is engineered for high performance, reliability, and strong lifecycle economics.
Alongside Aster 5000, AlphaESS also presented the STORION-LC 836, a modular utility-scale storage solution starting at 835.9 kWh and scalable up to 6.7 MWh per cluster. Featuring a cabinet-based architecture with front-access quick-connect wiring, it enables faster installation, simplified civil works, and flexible project expansion. Designed with integrated liquid cooling and compliant with NFPA 855 safety standards, the system delivers reliable performance and long-term asset value for large-scale energy storage deployments.
Both systems attracted significant interest from developers, IPPs, EPC contractors, and grid stakeholders seeking reliable and future-ready storage infrastructure.
Supporting the UK’s Energy Transition
As the UK continues to expand renewable energy penetration and grid flexibility mechanisms, utility-scale energy storage plays a central role in ensuring system reliability and market efficiency.
With a strong global manufacturing foundation, in-house engineering expertise, and proven European delivery track record, AlphaESS is well positioned to support UK developers and utilities in accelerating large-scale storage deployment.
The successful conclusion of the summit marks another important milestone in AlphaESS’s UK engagement and reinforces its position as a trusted global partner for utility-scale battery energy storage.
