Virstanpylväiden viikko
Following the festive opening of AlphaESS Benelux BV last week in Eindhoven, AlphaESS took another important step forward in the Benelux region on September 10. During our event at Restaurant Zuiver Utrecht, partners, installers, and energy experts gathered to discuss the future of sustainable energy storage and collaboration. On this occasion, we also celebrated the product launch of our cutting-edge AlphaLinX™ Technology and the new AlphaESS 4.5s and 9.3s batteries.

The official launch of our Benelux subsidiary highlights AlphaESS’s long-term vision for the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg, and reinforces our mission to accelerate the energy transition with advanced storage solutions.
Painotus innovaatiossa - AlphaLinX™-teknologia
During the keynote speech, we introduced the new AlphaESS 4.5s and 9.3s batteries, setting a new benchmark for residential energy storage. Designed for flexibility and durability, both models now feature an outdoor-ready build with improved waterproofing and a smart self-heating function, making them reliable in all weather conditions. The 4.5s is built for high-performance charging and discharging at 1C, while the 9.3s offers stable and efficient operation at 0.5C. Together, they provide users with the freedom to choose the solution that best fits their needs.
The highlight of the event was also the introduction of AlphaLinX™ Technology – a breakthrough that combines the best of both series and parallel connections. This unique design increases usable capacity by 12% and extends battery life by 20%, while ensuring that faulty modules are automatically isolated so the system can continue to operate without interruption. With flexible scalability that supports mixing new and old batteries up to 111.6 kWh, and the ability to support 1C fast charge and discharge, AlphaLinX™ represents the ultimate home battery that delivers both efficiency and reliability.

Inspiroivat vieraspuhujat
We were honored to welcome two distinguished guest speakers at the event. Luuk Verbeek from Frank Energie reflected on the strong partnership with AlphaESS, sharing how the collaboration has grown over the past year and highlighting the impact of Frank’s new multi-market trading algorithm and dynamic contract model. He also provided a forward-looking perspective on how this partnership will evolve in the future, ensuring that customers continue to benefit from the most advanced energy solutions.
Hrvoje Medarac, Research Team Leader at Dutch New Energy (DNE), offered valuable insights into the Dutch energy storage sector. He discussed the latest market trends in BESS and the solar PV industry, while also presenting an overview of the performance of key market players. His analysis gave our partners a clear understanding of the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead in this rapidly developing market.
Frank Energien yhteistyön kohokohdat
Since June 2024, over 2,000 AlphaESS batteries have been integrated into Frank Energie’s platform, making AlphaESS the top performer in smart control. Together, we have achieved:
- 1 697 409,24 € maksettu AlphaESS:n asiakkaille (toukokuu 2024 - kesäkuu 2025)
- 25 % kaikista älykkään kaupankäynnin tuotoista meni AlphaESS:n käyttäjille
-
Best results in Q2 2025:
- Korkein 15 minuutin jakso: 5,09 € (30. kesäkuuta 2025, 10 kW / 20 kWh)
- Paras päivä: 24,51 € (30. kesäkuuta 2025)
- Paras kuukausi: 165,14 € (kesäkuu 2025)

AlphaESS was among the first to adopt Frank Energie’s new multi-market trading algorithm, enabling its users to achieve an average 19% increase in returns. Building on this success, the partnership has already expanded into Belgium and is set to reach Spain and France, with AlphaESS also serving as the first tester of Frank Energie’s upcoming API to ensure faster, safer, and more reliable customer onboarding.
Näkemyksiä Dutch New Energylta (DNE)
Hrvoje Medarac, Research Team Leader at Dutch New Energy (DNE), shared valuable insights on the Dutch solar and storage markets. He highlighted that while annual solar installations in 2024 dropped by 28% compared to 2023, the Netherlands has already surpassed its 2030 NECP target, with solar power now covering more than 18% of national electricity demand.

On storage, Medarac emphasized the exponential rise of battery systems, with nearly 1 GWh added in 2024 and total installed capacity reaching 1.6 GWh. Lithium-ion technology dominates the residential sector, while utility-scale projects explore alternative chemistries. Looking ahead, the Dutch market could expand to as much as 55 GWh by 2030, marking storage as a critical enabler of the country’s energy transition.
Verkostoituminen ja eteenpäin ajatteleminen
The event concluded with an exclusive Alpha Dinner, offering guests the opportunity to connect and exchange ideas in an informal setting. Special gifts, a networking session, and a gratitude banquet rounded off the afternoon – but most importantly, new partnerships and shared visions were formed on how we can jointly shape the energy transition.
